----------------------------------------------------------------
"FISSION" (no... not Fusion, moron) official TCP Deathmatch Map Pack
(c) 1999 by no one... oh well.
Not to be distributed commercially without prior written consent
----------------------------------------------------------------
Release Date: 4/23/99
Filename: Fission.exe / Fission.zip / Dmfission.zip (nalicity)

-Installation:
Extract all files into the "unreal\" dir (make sure paths are on!).
Double click on "FISSION Map Pack" shortcut in the unreal\ folder to open up TCPLaunch.

-Using The Fission Launcher:
Droz's TCPLaunch is extremely easy to use. Load it up, enter in your Unreal path when
prompted, and rock on baby! Big thanks go out to Big Blonski on this one.

-A Note To AtticBat And All The Rest:
To change maps from within Unreal, just open the console (~) and type "open dm!X" where X is
the Fission map name (see list below.) Also, you could set a Time/Frag limit and have the
levels loop (see below for info on how to set up a maplist.) Either way, I do not recommend
exiting Unreal and using the TCPLaunch every time you change levels.

-Rotating Maps for a server (or bot play!):
Go into your Unreal\system\ dir and open "unreal.ini."
Scroll to the bottom where it has the maplist and remove all of the
maps already there. Then put "Dm!X.unr" in each space
where "X" is the Fission map name.

If you do not have the maplist, enter the following at the bottom of your unreal.ini:

[UnrealShare.DMmaplist]
Maps[0]=Dm!Arcane.unr
Maps[1]=Dm!Base1.unr
Maps[2]=Dm!Burne.unr
Maps[3]=Dm!Fission.unr
Maps[4]=Dm!Menkara.unr
Maps[5]=Dm!MII.unr
Maps[6]=Dm!Museum.unr
Maps[7]=Dm!RazorHole.unr
Maps[8]=Dm!Theta.unr
Maps[9]=Dm!Underground.unr
MapNum=9

-MapList *Filename -Map Name- (Author(s)):
*Dm!Arcane -Arcane- (Wolf)
*Dm!Base1 -Premature Expiration- (getteW)
*Dm!Burne -Burne- (getteW)
*Dm!Fission -Fission- (getteW and Wolf)
*Dm!Menkara -Mekara's Curse- (Wolf)
*Dm!MII -Return Of The Mekong- (getteW)
*Dm!Museum -The Muesum- (Wolf)
*Dm!RazorHole -The Blade Hole- (getteW)
*Dm!Theta -Theta- (getteW)
*Dm!Underground -The Underground- (Wolf)

-Troubleshooting:
First of all, you need Unreal version 220+ to play this pack, if you have an earlier version
you will get an error with "missing package unrealshare" or something similar and the game
will crash.

If the "FISSION Map Pack" shortcut in your unreal/ folder does not work, it is likely that
you installed Fission to a drive other than "C:\" That's no big deal, there are three things
you could do. 1)Open Fission through "TCPLaunch.exe" in the Unreal\System folder. 2)Make
your own shortcut to "TCPLaunch" in your Unreal\System folder and use our nice Icon, or you
could just modify the shortcut we provided and change the path to match your system.
3)Launch each map from the unreal console, screw the launcher (this is not recommended, we
like the launcher :)

Slow framerates means you have a averagetocrappy PC. Turn some more system intensive Unreal
features down in the Advanced Options menu, reachable from the "options" menu in Unreal. Or
you could buy a new 3dAccelerator... we all will sooner or later. (Speaking of which, it's
time to dump my Voodoo2...)

-Info About The Production:
Fission was first started by me (gette) February 25th 1999. I ditched the "BASEpak" project
that previously was to take up our time. Fission began as a weapons and levels mod, the
weapons (as with Beyond Unreal) fell through. We seem to get closer every mod we make, but
I wouldn't expect them in our UT pack (the weapons are already new!) Wolf joined the team
after I played his "DmAncient1" and loved it. Together we whipped out 10 levels (with some
texture help from 3xBilly of TCP, and a launcher by Droz of TCP) that would set the standard
for homemade levels everywhere. Alot of things happened along the way, there was more than
one major setback and idea change, but the release was not delayed by anything more than 5
days. Not too shabby, I think. You can expect a rest from the TCP crew, as for Wolf's plans
I am unsure. I do know that we are both interested in getting together again for a future
project, whatever that may be. I need a break though... ugh.
